I feel...

...like blogging!

However, I'm very sorry to report that I don't feel like uploading photos just now.

A lot has been going on; a lot is still to happen (dv). Caleb and Nat have been helping with work on the manse. Last night (at church) we formally signed the "call" to Rev. Lyle Smith (who happens to be my dad :-)). There were a lot of people there--and the most ministers we've ever had at once (Rev. N. M. Ross, Rev. R. MacLeod, and Rev. J. MacLeod. When Dad and Alan arrive, dv, there will be 5 ministers here). This past Sabbath, Joseph was ordained as an elder; and this coming Sabbath, dv, there will be 3 baptisms.

Today I got my ID for nursing school as well as my parking permits. Also checked on getting my hair done for the wedding. The place I wanted to use starts at $50 for an up-do. Sorry, I'm not going to pay that. Tomorrow is the 2nd ADN orientation...not sure what we're supposed to do at it. Um, what else? Oh, I'm supposed to be raising money for ANSA (Alvin Nursing Student Association) by selling cookie dough. Please don't tell them, but I haven't raised $1 yet! Can somebody please buy a lot of cookie dough from me????

Our A/C has been broken since Thursday of last week. It hasn't been too fun but we've coped. Anyway, they just came out and fixed it a couple hours ago. They had to replace the whole unit. It cost $2,300...but the warranty covered a large chunk of that. We have to pay $850 (which I don't really have!).

School starts on Monday. And then Alan (who is staying with us) and my family arrive Tuesday, dv. The Ordination is set for Thursday evening (with a reception afterwards), and Mark and Mercy's wedding is on Friday. So, like I said, a lot is going on!

Unfortunately, Nat is selling the Integra. ;-'( It's been such a good car and I'm going to miss it. If anyone is interested in buying it, here is the link: http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/805945957.html . Please give it a good home!! No scammers!

Well, I guess I better go. We're gonna have supper at Aunt Jeanne's and then go work on the manse (once Caleb and Nat get home).

Bye for now.

Wow that is a busy week in the Santa Fe congregation! Call signing, induction, wedding, baptisms - your dad is having a hectic start to his ministry there.

I hope all goes well, take plenty pictures :-)

Love
