A long couple of weeks

It's been about 14 days since I last updated. I honestly can't remember what all I've done, but it went something like this:

• July 4 - spent a few hours cleaning the carpet in the new church. That evening, attended a barbecue at Uncle Curt and Aunt Jeanne's and afterwards, went to an outdoor symphony/firework show at the college. (A distant relative played in the symphony.)
• July 5 - explored the streets around Harwin/Hillcroft; ended up in some not-so-desirable alleys and expected to get stabbed in the back any moment (okay, maybe that's a little exaggerated, but I do know that I won't be walking down Harwin on my own anymore).
  
• July 7 - took my car back to the repair shop for the third time (brake lights quit working again). Was picked up by Aunt Jeanne, Shelby and Joseph. Went to Baybrook Mall with them and went out for lunch.
• July 8 - picked up car; drove 3 miles toward home and realized that brake lights were once again dysfunctional. Returned car for the 4th time. Was picked up by Caleb and went with him to work on the manse. Hauled pieces of sheetrock which Jeshurun removed from walls.
• July 10 - picked up car. Brake lights fully functional (even as of July 16!). Went to the church for a little while and then went home. Caleb worked on manse with Jesh.
• July 12 - attended CPR course from 8 am to 1:16 pm. Received CPR certification. Went to HEB. Took Shannon for a long walk.
• July 14 - babysat 5 lovely children from approx. 12:20 to 4:30. Went to Home Depot with Jesh and Caleb. Worked on manse (I "helped" Caleb smooth/level the concrete that Jesh poured. Caleb says I actually did a good job. lol. :-)). Filled out paperwork for orientation.
• July 15 - arrived at ADN orientation at 8:47. Went to several orientation meetings; ate lunch (supplied by ANSA); ordered nursing supplies; applied for scholarship; registered for classes and clinical rotations (my clinicals will be at Clear Lake Regional--6:30 am to 2:30 pm on Thursdays); did drug test; joined ANSA (Alvin Nursing Student Association). Finished orientation close to 4. Went to the gym. Came home and took Shannon for a walk. Cooked supper. Went to bed at 9:30!!!!!!!
• July 16 - did housework & laundry. Reviewed finances/budget. Updated my blog.........

So, that's pretty much all I have to say right now. I don't have any photos - sorry! I do have a lot of videos from the symphony, but I'll have to figure out how to post them.
