And that's just the way it is

Sooooooooo! I decided to update my blog. I don't care to relate (and you probably wouldn't care to read) all the various things I've done, the places I've gone, since I last blogged; so I won't bother. Suffice it to say that I've been enjoying the summer (very much) and have visited a lot of new places - from Mardel's to Sussan's to new car repair places (!!!). I had a wiring problem with the del Sol which meant the brake lights wouldn't work. Well, after 5 days of hassle, it's fixed. There used to be a high tech Viper alarm system in the car, and the wires from it were causing the brake light wires to short out, and it kept blowing a fuse ----- or something like that!!

This past Sabbath we had 10 extra people over for the afternoon (for lunch)...and it just so happened that I hadn't gone to the store the previous week (I was just planning to make spaghetti--I hadn't made it in 2+ years)...well anyway, I managed to come up with several different things and Mercy brought some chicken (very yummy chicken, too!) so it worked out just fine. We had a really enjoyable afternoon.

On Monday I picked up a list of the textbooks that are required for the first semester of nursing school - there are only 18 or so (!!), totaling $700+. Nursing students are also required to buy a Palm Tungsten E2. So after going to the gym today, I went to the ACC bookstore and bought mine. Let's not talk about how much it cost.

Speaking of going to the gym.... I usually weigh at the gym because they have a really good scale. For a good while now, I've been able to maintain my weight at 110 lb, at least. Sometimes I'm even 113! However, today I am less than 100. I'm very confused.

In other news, I've been doing some rearranging in the house, getting rid of junk, making granola, doing laundry, mowing the grass (at least once a week),...... Oh, and I went to the beach last week. Also, last Saturday (I think), Caleb and I went for a drive out in the country (we took Shannon too). We discovered some really amazing places we'd never seen before! I absolutely love the area around Liverpool.
